Diana Todea

Psychotherapist at Little People Association

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank

How can we support patients in reclaiming their strength after they won the battle with cancer? Caring for them means fostering resilience, hope, and growth at every stage of their healing process.

To tackle the intricacies of this subject, we are heartwarmed to welcome Diana Todea to the eleventh edition of HEART. She is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist certified in cognitive and behavioral psychotherapies who attended the Faculty of Psychology at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and the Master’s program in Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counseling, and Psychotherapy at the same university.

Currently, she activates as a psychologist at the Little People Romania Association, which was founded with the purpose to offer each child and adolescent the support they need when it comes to battling cancer. Back in 2006, they established the Temerarii Club, a community of Romanian adolescents who have overcome cancer. The purpose of the Temerarii Club is to provide specialized and personalized support tailored to the needs of each young person in Romania, regarding coping mechanisms, successful reintegration into society, and assistance in returning to school.

Our theme, Queening the Pawn, epitomises that it takes resilience and initiative to reclaim the narrative in order to win the game. That is exactly what Diana Todea’s experience will shed some light on, so join her in May to find out more.
