Remember The Robot Dance? Meet ROSA, The Robot Who Can Make You Dance Again
This workshop aims to offer an overview of the evolution of orthopedic surgery, focusing on three major joints replacement interventions: knee, hip and shoulder.
We’ll showcase the conventional joint replacement surgery along with its advanced instruments and techniques, demonstrating their efficacy using plastic bones.
Moving forward, participants are going to learn about the new frontline of knee surgery: ROSA, the Robotic Orthopedic Surgeon Assistant. ROSA is programmed to create a 3D map of the patient’s knee, in order to help surgeons operate using a unique anatomical plan. Participants will have the opportunity to use a ROSA software simulator and understand this scientific progress that helps most accurate patients’ treatment and therefore : faster and easier postoperative recovery.
At the end of the workshop, there will be a short quiz. The first three participants who will score best : will be awarded the chance to witness a live surgery at Polaris Hospital, in Cluj-Napoca
